The World Economic Forum has revealed its list of Young Global Leaders for the new class of 2020. It includes Mexican Jesús Cepeda, who holds a Ph.D. in Robotics and Informatics and a B.Sc. in Mechatronics from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
Every year, the WEF reveals its list of remarkable people under the age of 40.
This year’s list also includes the young prime minister of Finland, Sanna Marin, African digital journalism pioneer Larry Madowo, and winner of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Megan Rapinoe.
They’re “influential people who want to make the world a better place,” says the World Economic Forum in its presentation for the class of 2020.
Mexican Jesús Cepeda is founder of the company One Smart City. The Forum emphasizes that as a technological entrepreneur, he’s made efficient use of cloud computing, blockchain, and artificial intelligence to predict the future of the public sector and to position his company as one of the 100 best companies in the world for governmental technology.
